THE CLUB . . .
Braintree Town Netball Club has over
70
members with 9 senior teams playing in the Chelmsford and District Netball League and a team in the Colchester League. Based in
Braintree, the club was formed in April 2000 when the old Christ Church Netball Club (2 teams) merged with Braintree Seniors and a new first team was
added. In 2001 an U18 team was formed and in season 2002-3, a further team was added.
Seven of our
teams are sponsored (see SPONSORS) and as a result of financial help with a lottery grant the club now proudly boasts a strong committee and constitution, a team management system, AENA qualified coaches (one
level 3, three level 2, one level 1), and
five C Award umpires. Our teams have regular coaching for match play, fitness and skills at Braintree
College Sports Hall, Church Lane where we also have a Junior
Club. We are a friendly club that welcomes new members. We are ambitious, keen, forward
looking and always open to new ideas. So this is our website. We will endeavour to keep it up-to-date with news, results, information and fixtures. Please mail us if
