Get your umpires early - confirm with them before games!  All players MUST be affiliated to England Netball before they play!  This also applies to umpires and coaches!

THE PLAYING UP RULE:

A player may not play lower than the team in which they are registered. They may play up 4 times for any team higher than the one in which they are registered. On the 5th occasion they move to the next team up who they played for. After that all the times they played for any higher team still count. Occasions they play for their registered team do not count.

Example (a complicated one!):

Barbara is registered for Thundercats (9th team) but her team is Team Colours (1st team). For 3 occasions she plays for Team Colours.

Then she plays for AMAZONS (6th team). Then she plays for MILLFIELDS (7th team). She is now registered for MILLFIELDS and cannot play any lower.

Now she plays for TEAM COLOURS.  She is now an AMAZONS player and cannot play any lower.

Now she plays for TEAM COLOURS. She is now a TEAM COLOURS player and she cannot play any lower.

Confused? Ring Anne or Mick...

Make sure you ask and inform Anne our Registrations Secretary if you need a player who is not in your squad team list of 7 players to play for you! You will risk a fine and deduction of league points for playing a player who is not qualified to play in your game! You will also "lose" your players to a higher team if they play too many times up! Also, if you spell wrongly or put a non-qualified name down you'll suffer same fate!
