Coaching is changing for the Summer - see COACHING
We DESPERATELY, and I mean DESPERATELY, need more qualified umpires!! If we don't find them our 1st team will not be able to play in division 1 next year and all our teams will be at risk entering the league as the league rules state "A team must nominate a unique umpire suitable for their division". See the Chelmsford League rules. At present we do not have enough umpires to enter the winter league! The other issue is "scorers". Pressure is being put on teams to supply scorers - it isn't a rule at present but it may be after the Chelmsford AGM. Please try to provide them - if this means you have to pay one then I'm afraid you will have to collect a larger match fee.
As a result of our Back to Netball course we are "adopting" a new team for the Summer League. They are Braintree Town Thundercats and will be our 10th team.
The team order for playing up for the Summer League will be:
1 - EJD, 2 - Scenic Landscapes, 3 - MCP, 4 - S&B, 5 - Biosense, 6 - Displays, 7 - Amazons, 8 - Millfields, 9 - LFC, 10 - Thundercats.
Matches usually start beginning of May.
We are nearing completion of our CAP's application but we still need a couple of people to go on courses. The course are only short - one evening - they are "A club for All" and "Equity in your coaching". Funds are available for this - please contact Mick. If we miss this opportunity a lot of hard work will have been for nothing.
Sue Fowler is standing down as secretary at the end of the winter league after many years doing this important job. So we need to identity a new secretary. Please talk to Mick if you are interested. Job descriptions for all jobs are on view, see COMMITTEE.

REGISTRATIONS...
You cannot play in the Chelmsford or Colchester Leagues for this club until you are affiliated and registered. Club fees this season are held at £35 seniors (18 and over) and £15 juniors (under 18 on 1st September 2007). If you require a form then please download it from this site. You may fill this in and post back. We will then get you affiliated ASAP. All players that have sent back registration forms are now affiliated to England Netball. You will all receive a membership card with your first magazine. If you don't then let us know!

We will be paying our umpires £10 for 4 x 12min games and £12 for 4 x 15 min games this season (£10 for all games in the summer). This may change at the Chelmsford AGM if the umpire fee structure exceeds these figures. Please pay your umpires these amounts.
Match fees will be £2.50 for 4 x 12 mins and £3.00 for 4 x 15 mins games for the coming winter (£2.50 for Colchester). We have kept registration fees the same as last season even though the AENA fee is increasing as is the County fee. Also the Chelmsford team registration fee has increased by £5 per team for this winter.
N E W SPONSORED K I T!
We are still seeking new sponsors!! Our 1st, 3rd and 4th team players will be wearing new kit. The skirts are Navy in lycra, the tops are Navy cotton lycra with velcro bibs. We now have NAVY sweatshirts and V necked T shirts in stock - all with badges. Please phone Sue to order.
As new sponsors are found we will change to this new lightweight modern kit. If you think you may have a sponsor for your team - ask Mick for a sponsorship letter and discuss it with him.
BEWARE! The Chelmsford Committee are considering deducting points from any team whose members park in the swimming pool car park!! The Club Committee will also be considering fining any member whose team receives this penalty! You have been finally warned....

Players possessing sponsored kit and no longer playing for that club team MUST RETURN IT! Also - if you change teams then jackets must be given back to the team for others to wear - There are still sponsored jackets missing! A reminder that club kit must be worn at all matches, and the league rules state that SKIRTS MUST BE WORN FOR ALL MATCHES!! ANYONE NOT WEARING A SKIRT WILL BE REFUSED TO PLAY!! TRACK SUIT BOTTOMS WORN UNDER SKIRTS SHOULD BE IN NAVY.
